​Long Way Down

​There is no way to make this right/I listen as sirens pierce the night/When the end comes like a sonic boom/The scars are left from our deepest wounds/But I can still hear her singing//Holy, holy, holy is the Lord almighty//We all waited with bated breath/A family broken cannot rest/ When the news came like a wrecking ball/We knew that you’d answered heaven’s call/And you’re at the feet of your Savior singing//The Spirit intercedes for us/Our prayers will be heard/When there are no words/So we have no fear in death/When all hope is lost/We hope in the cross

​One Day
​One day when heaven was filled with His praises/One day when sin was as black as could be/Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin/Dwelt among men, my example is He//One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain/One day they nailed Him to die on a tree/Suffering anguish, despised, and rejected/Bearing our sin, my Redeemer is He//Living, He loved me/Dying, He saved me/Buried, He carried my sin far way/Rising, He justified forever/One day He’s coming/Oh, wonderful day// One day they left Him alone in the garden/One day He rested from suffering free/Angels came down o’er His tomb to keep vigil/Hope of the hopeless, my Savior is He//One day the grave could conceal Him no longer/One day the stone rolled away from the door/Then He arose, over death, He has conquered/Now is ascended, my Lord evermore//One day the trumpet will sound for His coming/One day the skies with His glory will sing/Wonderful day, my beloved one bringing/ Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine//Oh, wonderful day

​Worlds Collide
​It’s hard to describe what this means/Now that I see your smile/And you’re staring back at me/ All of my whispered prayers for you/In the right here and now/They’re coming true/But all this will fly by/And our time will be gone/So cherish this moment/And I’ll hold on//When our worlds collide/A little piece of heaven is magnified/And you opened the sky/Revealing the mystery I’d held inside/I know I can’t comprehend what your eyes have seen/In a world that can be so mean/ But you mean the world to me//It cuts like a knife/And I hate/How the ground of this life/Will slowly push away/The memories of you/From my mind/No matter what I do/They subside/So can I just hold you/Until we’re swept away/Or at least be your shelter/For one more day?//So I sing a little louder/And I smile a little wider/And I laugh a little longer/Just knowing you/Just knowing you/When our worlds collide

​In Your Hands
​It feels like a war is waging in my mind/Every time I close my eyes/The truth is in me/I hold it deep inside/But I believe the lies//I search for a spark to light this heart on fire/’Cause it’s dark so many times/It seems the missiles only fill the sky/When I’m just too weak to fight//Can you hear me crying?/’Cause I am dying//So I fall to my knees/Crying, “Jesus, please/Redeem this broken man/Put the pieces together/And help me surrender/And to rest assured/I’m safe in Your hands”//The labors of my hands underneath the sun/I watch them come undone/I toil day and night to build my kingdoms tall/But in the end they fall//I’m safe in Your hands//I wandered into darkness/I heard the lion’s cry/When up on the horizon/Appeared a distant light/The Shepherd came upon me/And left the ninety-nine/He wrapped His arms around me/And held me at His side/’Cause I was lost and helpless/With no hope to survive/But when I looked to heaven/There came a holy light/My Savior came to find me/Forgiving my denial/He wrapped His arms around me/And said that I’m His child/I’m His child
