The Good Fight
(We fight, fight) We’re all united in one goal, one end/’Cause we’ve promised this land to defend/And we won’t back down/We’re committed through thunder and rain/And there’s nothing but ice in these veins/ Gonna run this town//And we are all in/There’s no stopping ‘til we break these chains/When freedom’s calling/Our names//(Tonight) We lay it all on the line/Where legacies are defined/And this time we cannot be denied/(No more fear) For the blood, sweat, and tears/That have gotten us here/Where it’s clear victory is near/So with our heads held high/We fight//So many years anticipating/Ringing our hands and hoping, waiting/To write this story/Fists clenched with every heartbeat/And we refuse to go down in defeat/Obtaining glory

Myleah
We’re lying close on the hood of my blue Skyhawk/But seems to me your eyes are drifting as we talk/Though I know you won’t forget me/I can’t help but be afraid/We’re starting to lose hold of/The paradise we’ve made/And by this time tomorrow/I’ll be wishing you were here/And I will start to give in to all my deepest fears//Myleah/My lady/My baby/I pray you find your way home//My arms around you and your fingers against my cheek/And, oh, the warmth you give as you kiss me tenderly/I don’t ever wanna lose you/Can we please just run away/Where nobody can find us/We’ll forget their petty games?/I’m standing here with you/No matter how this tale unfolds/This treasure map I’m given/Tells me you’re the gold//Myleah/My lady/My baby/Come save me/From these dark days/Just seeing your face/Washes away/Every ounce of pain/So I pray you find your way home//Find your way/Find your way/We can fill these unwritten pages/Find your way/Find your way/Let’s write an epic for the ages//Find our way/We’ll find our way/Just to leave behind the endless sorrow/Find our way/We’ll find our way/There’s no need to wait until tomorrow

Shut The Door
Please try to be gentle/And just try to understand/You know I’m trying to help it/But sometimes I just can’t/You know I died a little/When she walked through my door/And I never retrieved that part of me/But I’m trying to give you more//I’m just a bitter, broken man/Left here on his own/But you can take this empty house/And make it feel like home again/I’m just a cynic/But deep down I want to trust once more/Fix the pieces/Take my hand/And shut the door//I was just a habit/Like her cigarette/When she was done, then she walked out/I guess I lost that bet/ There’s still that little part of me/That I haven’t found yet/She’s been searching too, I’m told/I hope she likes what she gets//I’m sorry I don’t trust/The way you deserve/But I’ll stand beside you/We can make this work/I wasn’t born this way, I swear/I wasn’t raised with this quirk/But you’ve already seen the worst of me/So forgive when I’m a jerk//Fix the pieces/Take my hand/ And shut the door

Save The First Dance
I have come to recognize/The hope that’s in your eyes/As I watch you slip away/And I hold your hand entwined/The way that you’ve held mine/For over twenty thousand days/And I know you’re fading fast/And this day could be your last//You’re almost home/At the Father’s throne/Where all your pain is washed away/Finally free/So we say goodbye/As the tears fill our eyes/And I have so much left to say/But can’t speak/So promise when I reach the golden streets/You’ll save the first dance for me//It’s so easy for my mind/To travel back in time/To when our love was still brand new/Yeah, we’ve seen our better days/But I still wouldn’t trade/This valley I’ve carried you through/Now I know the end is near/So I whisper in your ear

Long Way Down
In times like these/I think we’ve fallen too far/Wandering around/Just looking for a light in the dark/Our forefathers/Wouldn’t recognize this land/We’ve traded in our rock foundation/For one of sand/And standing up for what we believe’s/Like trying to hold a candle in the raging sea// We’re sinking without even thinking/It’s a long way down/The old days feel like a long way/ From the here and now/Yeah, we either wait for a revival to come/Or turn a blind eye as we come undone/We’ll fall apart if we cannot change our hearts/It’s a long way down, down and out//When we strip/Objective morals away/We’re opening the floodgates/To a much darker day/Proclaiming lives matter/In an obscene voice/Then kill our own/Without even giving them a choice/And standing up for what we believe’s/Like trying to start a fire in the raging sea//The truth can find us and help to remind us/We’re not too far down/In our dark state, it’s never too late/To embrace it now/Yeah, as we pray for a revival to come/We hope for a reversal of this setting sun/It’s not gonna start ‘til we look to change our hearts/We’re not too far down/Too far down/We’re not too far down/Not too far down/To turn around

Pain and Joy
God, have you ever failed me/In my pain and disbelief?/You have been the Man of Sorrows/Have You felt my deepest grief?/You work all things out for good/What’s the good if I can’t see?/Is Your will to break the man/Break his will to set him free?//Hallelujah, hallelujah//You turn wisdom on its head/Stumbling block, the Cornerstone/You are surest strength in weakness/Spirit God, yet skin and bone/Perfection wrought through suffering/Not my will, but Yours be done/Oh, death, where is your sting?/The veil is torn and sin undone/Hallelujah, hallelujah//Hallelujah, hallelujah/You are worthy of my pain/You are worthy of my joy/Hallelujah, hallelujah//For the joy that’s set before me/I’m walking down this road/For the joy that’s set before me/I’m carrying this load/You’re the joy that’s set before me/Yes, You have gone before me/You restore this weary soul//And then I see for a moment/How it all could count as loss/All this suffering and rejection/Shoulder pressed into the cross/For the joy that’s set before me/To be brother to the One/Who bled through wrath forsaken/Claimed the victory of love/Hallelujah, hallelujah

Father, Forgive Us
Rose would have headlined the Carnegie Hall/With a breathtaking voice, she’d follow her call/ And the way that she’d dance/I wish she’d been given the chance//And on the horizon I see a flood, it’s rising fast/And we’ll drown in the blood/There’s so much blood//Oh, Father, forgive us/We know not what we do/We’ve fallen so far from You/As we stand on the grave/Of sixty million strong/We ask how we went wrong/Oh, Father, forgive us//Dave would have cared for the hungry and hurting/The naked and poor, he’d carry their burdens/And bring a new day/ But they chose to throw him away//And on the horizon I see a flood surrounding us/And we’ll drown in the blood/There’s so much blood//Hear our song of lamentation/Hear the cries of our silent generation/And turn our hearts to You/Hear our song of lamentation/Hear the cry of a desperately decadent nation/And make this land brand new//Oh, Father, forgive us/Oh, Father, forgive us/Oh, Father, forgive us

'Til Death
The mirror holds a new reflection/She’s staring back at her imperfections, oh/’Cause he can’t let them go/This isn’t quite what she envisioned/They tied the knot in a quick decision, oh/But now she’s on her own/She’s been crying, oh, so long/Wondering where she went wrong//When it all falls apart/You can feel the silence echo/Off your barely-beating heart/When you throw it all away/There is not a winner/In this lonely game you play/I remember holding my breath/ When I heard you promise ‘til death//He’s looking back at the years he wasted/He saw the light, wishes he had chased it then/But now he’s on his way/He said goodbye to forever after/Turned his back on this failed disaster/But she’s begging him to stay/He’s been aching, breaking so long/ Wondering where he went wrong//Now there’s no going back/No going back/No going back/Feels like there’s no going back/No going back/No going back/As the fire rages on/It shines a light/On the darkest depths/Of a cold, cold night/But where there is hope/There's a way/To harness the flames/And melt all the ice

When There Are No Words
There is no way to make this right/I listen as sirens pierce the night/When the end comes like a sonic boom/The scars are left from our deepest wounds/But I can still hear her singing//Holy, holy, holy is the Lord almighty//We all waited with bated breath/A family broken cannot rest/ When the news came like a wrecking ball/We knew that you’d answered heaven’s call/And you’re at the feet of your Savior singing//The Spirit intercedes for us/Our prayers will be heard/When there are no words/So we have no fear in death/When all hope is lost/We hope in the cross

One Day
One day when heaven was filled with His praises/One day when sin was as black as could be/Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin/Dwelt among men, my example is He//One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain/One day they nailed Him to die on a tree/Suffering anguish, despised, and rejected/Bearing our sin, my Redeemer is He//Living, He loved me/Dying, He saved me/Buried, He carried my sin far way/Rising, He justified forever/One day He’s coming/Oh, wonderful day// One day they left Him alone in the garden/One day He rested from suffering free/Angels came down o’er His tomb to keep vigil/Hope of the hopeless, my Savior is He//One day the grave could conceal Him no longer/One day the stone rolled away from the door/Then He arose, over death, He has conquered/Now is ascended, my Lord evermore//One day the trumpet will sound for His coming/One day the skies with His glory will sing/Wonderful day, my beloved one bringing/ Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine//Oh, wonderful day

Worlds Collide
It’s hard to describe what this means/Now that I see your smile/And you’re staring back at me/ All of my whispered prayers for you/In the right here and now/They’re coming true/But all this will fly by/And our time will be gone/So cherish this moment/And I’ll hold on//When our worlds collide/A little piece of heaven is magnified/And you opened the sky/Revealing the mystery I’d held inside/I know I can’t comprehend what your eyes have seen/In a world that can be so mean/ But you mean the world to me//It cuts like a knife/And I hate/How the ground of this life/Will slowly push away/The memories of you/From my mind/No matter what I do/They subside/So can I just hold you/Until we’re swept away/Or at least be your shelter/For one more day?//So I sing a little louder/And I smile a little wider/And I laugh a little longer/Just knowing you/Just knowing you/When our worlds collide

In Your Hands
It feels like a war is waging in my mind/Every time I close my eyes/The truth is in me/I hold it deep inside/But I believe the lies//I search for a spark to light this heart on fire/’Cause it’s dark so many times/It seems the missiles only fill the sky/When I’m just too weak to fight//Can you hear me crying?/’Cause I am dying//So I fall to my knees/Crying, “Jesus, please/Redeem this broken man/Put the pieces together/And help me surrender/And to rest assured/I’m safe in Your hands”//The labors of my hands underneath the sun/I watch them come undone/I toil day and night to build my kingdoms tall/But in the end they fall//I’m safe in Your hands//I wandered into darkness/I heard the lion’s cry/When up on the horizon/Appeared a distant light/The Shepherd came upon me/And left the ninety-nine/He wrapped His arms around me/And held me at His side/’Cause I was lost and helpless/With no hope to survive/But when I looked to heaven/There came a holy light/My Savior came to find me/Forgiving my denial/He wrapped His arms around me/And said that I’m His child/I’m His child
